2 TIPPERS WITH ILLEGAL SAND SEIZED

KAPURTHALA: Police on Friday booked unidentified persons and seized two tippers loaded with 56 tonne illegal sand near Dhilwan town. Mining inspector Shubham Kumar said the drivers fled after being asked to stop. ASI Balwinder Singh said a case under Sections 21 of the mining act and 379 (theft) of the IPC had been registered.
