SCHOOL, ROAD TO BE NAMED AFTER MOGA SOLDIER

MOGA: A government school and a road leading to Demru Khurd will be named after Sepoy Lakhveer Singh, who died in the line of duty in Arunachal Pradesh on July 22, sports minister Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi announced. Sepoy Lakhveer Singh and sepoy Satwinder Singh of Kutna village were patrolling when they were reportedly swept away in a flooded nullah. The minister added that the compensation for the family has been enhanced to Rs 50 lakh. Besides, a government job will also be provided to one family member.
