PUNJAB GOVT RESTRICTS MOVEMENT OF WORKERS IN CONTAINMENT, MICRO-CONTAINMENT ZONES
JALANDHAR : To contain the spread of the coronavirus, the Punjab government has restricted the movement of workers residing in containment and micro-containment zones in all the districts for at least 14 days.
The additional chief secretary (health and family welfare department) has directed all deputy commissioners and civil surgeons to implement the orders.
The government is notifying containment and micro-containment zones which are put in perimeter control.
The workers residing in such zones cannot move out to go to work for about 14 days. “All such workers residing in these zones should be treated on duty by all government and private commercial organisations,” the order read.
In Jalandhar district, there are 13 micro-containment and 1 containment zone where the order will be implemented.
