EMPOWERING WOMEN

Instead of pulling each other down, real women uplift one another. In the lockdown, when many lost jobs and salaries were slashed, some women took it upon themselves to feed their families. Maitri — Ek Parichay, a programme started by Namrata Narayan, Rama Foundation, aims at making rural women selfreliant. The programme encourages them to carve their own identity. From pickle making to candle making, these women have become micro entrepreneurs.
