CONCERN ABOUT WOMEN SAFETY

-

The National Commission for Women received almost 3,000 complaints in July alone, the highest since November 2018 when the #Metoo movement was at its peak. This has raised concerns about women safety and their right to dignity. Uttar Pradesh alone has more than half of such complaints. The government ought to work proactively to redress the grievances of women living under threat.
