COMPENSATION FOR ATTACK BY WILDLIFE REVISED

CHANDIGARH : The compensation given to those hurt or attacked by wild animals has been revised by the Chandigarh administration. Following a letter by the environment ministry, relief given for death or incapacitation will be ₹5 lakh, for those with grievous injuries would be ₹2 lakh and for minor injury will be up to ₹25,000 per person. The revised rates will come into effect from Wednesday.
