SIX INJURED IN CLASH AT GIDDERBAHA

BATHINDA: Six persons sustained injuries as two groups clashed at Gursar Nehrana village near Gidderbaha in Muktsar on Thursday. SSP D Sudarvizhi said miscreants had even opened fire. Cause of clash is yet to be confirmed. An eyewitness said over 200 youth, many of who were armed with sticks and sharp-edged weapons, reached the village in the afternoon. Police sources said one person with serious gunshot injury was referred to Guru Gobind Singh Medical College in Faridkot and another with head injury was rushed to Bathinda. Statements are being recorded for registration of an FIR, said the SSP.
