TWO HELD WITH 1.3L INTOXICANT TABLETS IN MANSA
BATHINDA: The Mansa police have recovered 1.30 lakh intoxicant tablets from possession of two persons. Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Surendra Lamba said one of the accused Rakesh Kumar, of Mansa, who is a chemist, was arrested using information provided by Gurdeep Singh, who was held with a cache of intoxicant tablets from Nangal Khurd village on Wednesday. The SSP said the accused have past records of committing similar crime. A case was registered under the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and the Drugs and Cosmetic Act at the Sadar police station.
