Capt suggests setting up varsity in Mohali

CHANDIGARH:PUNJAB chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Friday suggested setting up of a world-class university in Mohali to accelerate investment.
The chief minister gave the suggestion during a video conference interaction with members of an expert panel set up under former deputy chairman of the Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia, to formulate medium and long-term post-covid economic strategy for Punjab. Montek said the state needs more improvement in ease of doing business index and keep mid-2021 as target to complete necessary changes for triggering a wave of industrialisation.
“Of 128 recommendations listed by the group, even if 100 are met, Punjab will make major strides in industrial growth,” he added.
