FARMER ENDS LIFE IN MANSA

BATHINDA : A farmer in his 60s allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance near Mansa district administrative complex on Monday. SSP Surendra Lamba said the man died on the way to Guru Gobind Singh Medical College, Faridkot. He was reportedly a BKU activist. A two-page note, written in Punjabi, was recovered from his possession, where he has expressed anger over policies of Congress government. He had also objected to state revenue minister Gurpreet Singh Kangar attending inauguration of a Government Senior Secondary School as after the function, Kangar was tested positive for Covid-19.
