13 FRESH INFECTIONS IN STATE

DHARAMSHAL­A: Thirteen people tested positive in Himachal on Monday, taking the state’s Covid-19 count to 4,169. Six cases were reported in Solan district, three in Chamba and two each in Kangra and Una.

There are 1,313 active cases in the state while 2,797 people have recovered.

A four-year-old girl is among the three people found infected in Chamba, said chief medical officer Dr Rajesh Guleri.

She belongs to Dharog locality of Chamba town, which has become a coronaviru­s hotspot.

Since August 3, at least 100 people have tested positive in the locality. A 41-year-old tested positive in Samot area.

In Solan, four people tested positive in Parwanoo and two in Nalagarh.

The Nalagarh patients were in institutio­nal quarantine, while those found infected in Parwanoo are the primary contacts of Covid patients.

POLICEMAN TESTS POSITIVE IN KANGRA

In Kangra, a policeman was among the two people who tested positive.

The 48-year-old cop was posted at Bainjath and has no travel history.

Solan is the worst-hit district with 981 cumulative cases, followed by Kangra (616), Sirmaur (513), Hamirpur (414), Una (329),Mandi (317), Chamba (295), Shimla (231), Kullu (227), Bilaspur (181), Kinnaur (59) and Lahaul and Spiti (6).
