SAD CAUTIONS CAPT AGAINST COMPROMISING PUNJAB’S RIPARIAN RIGHTS

CHANDIGARH : Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Wednesday warned chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh against what he termed as “compromising Punjab’s principled stand on the riparian principle with regard to the demand for sharing of the state’s river waters”. The former deputy chief minister said the SYL canal issue stood closed after the previous SAD-BJP government returned the acquired land to its original owners.
