₹15 LAKH FINE IMPOSED FOR POWER THEFT

JALANDHAR: In a special drive against defaulters, the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has imposed a penalty of Rs 15.3 lakh on violators of electricity theft and for using excess load of electricity. Daljit Inderpal Singh Grewal, director distribution, PSPCL, said a team examined 1,247 connections on Saturday, of which 36 cases of electricity theft were detected.
