22-year-old man found dead in Amritsar

AMRITSAR:A 22-year-old man was found murdered on the railway tracks near Suncity Park of Mokhampura area here on Sunday. Police said the victim, Monu Verma, was attacked with sharpedged weapons and acid was thrown on his face.

His brother Chandan Verma told the police, “On August 10, Monu went to a food outlet where some men started abusing him. They engaged in a quarrel. On August 20, my brother went out for some work, but never returned. On Friday, we went to the police station to file a missing report, but they ignored us. However, on Sunday, our neighbours said Monu’s body was lying near tracks, he said.
