HC REFUSES BAIL TO BATHINDA HEALTH OFFICER

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab and Haryana high court has refused to grant anticipatory bail to a Bathinda district health officer, Dr Ramesh Kumar Maheshwari, in a graft case. He had approached the HC after an FIR was registered against him on July 15. He is accused of taking illegal gratification from milk sellers; grocery shops and ghee factories for not drawing samples from their shops and would take samples from shops, whose owners did not pay him such gratification.
