Heavy rains in Punjab, Haryana this week: Met

NEW DELHI: Intense monsoon showers are expected in northwest India, including Punjab, Haryana and the national capital, during the next five days, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Tuesday.

“The monsoon trough is shifting northwards...heavy rainfall is expected in Punjab, Haryana , Himachal and Delhi during the next five days,” Kuldeep Shrivastava, head of IMD’S regional weather forecasting centre, said. Central and east India will also experience heavy rains.
