DON’T MAKE A SPECTACLE OF SUSHANT’S DEATH

Apropos, ‘A tale of the failure of the media, police forces’ (August 25), the media, aided by social media, has turned the unfortunate death of Sushant Singh Rajput into a spectacle. Rather than focusing on improving mental health, and taking corrective measures to set right the power play in the film industry, if any, the issue has been diverted to scandals, nepotism, favouritism and politics in the film industry. The whole issue is being discussed in the media as ‘saleable news’. It is time we let his soul rest in peace and let the CBI do its job.
