BHUSHAN IS RIGHT
Prashant Bhushan’s decision to not apologise to the Supreme Court may seem wrong but his reasoning is absolutely sound. In this case, contempt of court and right to speech and expression are contradictory. Individuals have the right to openly express their opinions. Bhushan, too, has the right to highlight the shortcomings of the judiciary. If he is wrong, the judiciary should correct him. Punishing Bhushan will only prove his point.
