CONG NEEDS A FRESH START

Apropos, ‘Sonia stays in charge of Congress’ (August 25), the tempestuous meeting of the Congress Working Committee turned out to be a damp squib. This reveals the party lacks new ideas. It seems to be a case of the blind leading the blind. Both the old and young brigade are holding the party to ransom to grind their respective axes. It is time the Congress makes a fresh start with or without the Gandhis. The party should connect with the masses rather than squabbling over non-issues.
