12,000-KG LAHAN SEIZED IN HOSHIARPUR

HOSHIARPUR : In a major crackdown on illicit liquor trade in the river bed area, Dasuya police and the excise department, on Wednesday, seized 12,000 kilogram lahan and equipment to manufacture illicit liquor. The manufacturers of illicit liquor escaped, the police claimed, with the lahan destroyed at the spot.
