BENGAL GOVT NOD FOR FLIGHTS, METRO

KOLKATA: Flight services from six cities to Kolkata, local train and metro rail services have been given approval by the West Bengal government on Wednesday. Chief minister Mamata Banerjee also announced that there would be complete state-wide lockdown on September 7, 11 and 12. The state government, which was earlier planning to reopen schools on September 5 if situation improves, also said that schools and colleges would remain closed till September 20. Flights to Kolkata from Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Chennai and Ahmedabad were stopped from July 6.
