THREE YOUTHS FOUND DEAD IN FIELDS OF KARNAL VILLAGE

-

KARNAL: Three people were found dead under mysterious circumstances in the fields along with a road near Kabulpur Khera village in Assandh subdivision of Karnal.

As per police, there were injury marks on the bodies and possibility of a road mishap cannot be ruled out. The actual cause of death can be ascertained after the autopsy reports arrive.

The deceased have been identified as Akshay Kumar, 20, of Kabulpur Khera village, Ravinder Singh, 21, of Khairajpur village, and Banti, 22, of Kabulpur Khera village in district. They used to run a pizza shop in Matlauda and had left the shop on Saturday evening on a bike but had not reached home.

According to their families, the deceased were cousins.

The families are in disagreement with the police regarding the possibility that the trio may have died in an accident. They demanded the police to investigate the case from murder angle.

They alleged that the bodies were found in fields along a roadside with injury marks and there was no vehicle around to prove that it is an accident case.

Investigation officer Sanjay Kumar said as per preliminary investigation, it seems to be an accident case but after complaint of the family, police was investigating the case from multiple angles and are awaiting the postmortem reports.

He said the bodies have been handed over to the families after postmortem at Karnal civil hospital. Police have registered a case under Section 304A (causing death by negligence) and 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
