Entire Jubbal-kotkhai block unit of BJP resigns

Rebel trouble grows for the saffron party in the hill state ahead of bypolls

SHIMLA: Three days after the ruling Bharatiya Janata party denied ticket to its informatio­n Technology cell state convener Chetan Bragta rebellion erupted in the party with the entire block unit resigning from the party.

“I have received the resignatio­n letter from the block unit. I have appraised the party high command, Soon new unit will be set up with a consultati­on with the high command “said president of BJP’S Mahasu block unit Ajay Shyam.

Bharatiya Janata Party in charge of Himachal affairs on Friday made clear that there was no place in the party for the rebels in the near future. Those who’s been ousted from parties from anti-party activities will never get a place in the organizati­on in the near future ‘ said Khanna addressing media in Shimla . He was replying to question on Chetan Bragta’s rebellion Jubbal and Kotkhai . The block unit of the Bjp had convened a meeting and further expressed its resentment over the allocation of tickets to Neelam Saraik. The block unit had authorized its block unit President Gopal Jadhaikh to take an appropriat­e decision. “I was authorized by the party to take a decision, the party decided the candidate without taking the block unit into confidence, “said Gopal. Many office bearers of the women wing of the block unit also tendered their resignatio­n.

The mass resignatio­n from the block unit took place when the Urban Developmen­t minister in charge of by-polls in Jubbal Kotkhai Suresh Bhardwaj had convened a meeting of the block unit to give impetus to the party campaign.

Congress takes jibe at BJP’S factionali­sm

Hitting out at BJP, chief spokesin of HPCC Naresh Chauhan on Friday said that BJP is trying to mislead the people by diverting their attention from Inflation and unemployme­nt.

He said that BJP is defaming Congress party by claiming that Congress is being disrespect­ful towards the Indian army.

“Congress party does not require any certificat­ion of patriotism from BJP as congress had played an important role in building the nation” he said.
