Changing name to find accommodation

Santosh Dhanuk, who hails from Unnao was happy when he managed to bag the job of a safai karamchari at the Ambedkar Smarak, during former chief minister Mayawati’s regime. But Santosh was denied accommodation wherever he went in Lucknow, because of his caste. He eventually had to take the help of the Akhil Bhartiya Safai Majdoor Sangh and change his name to be able to rent a house.
