NEWDELHI: Following the incometax (IT) department notice to Delhi health minister Satyendar Jain, the Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Tuesday he would expose a very big conspiracy behind registration of false cases against AAP MLAs, ministers and him during a oneday special session of Delhi Assembly on Friday.

The move is likely to escalate confrontation with AAP government and the Centre. “False cases against AAP MLAs n ministers, FIR against me, CBI raid on me — why? A v big conspiracy. Will expose in Del Assembly on Fri (sic),” Kejriwal tweeted.

Kejriwal was named in an FIR into alleged irregularities in Delhi Commission for Women by the anti-corruption branch (ACB).

Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia said in the Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, it was decided to convene the one-day special session to discuss registration of wrong FIRs against Kejriwal, ministers and AAP MLAs including steep rise in dengue and chikungunya cases in the city.

The chief minister had alleged that the FIR has been registered against him at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “It is clear that the FIR has the PM’s nod. We will soon call a special session of the Delhi Assembly where we will expose the conspiracy behind this,” Kejriwal had said last week.

Sources said that during the special session, the AAP MLAs will also attack all three BJPcontrolled municipal corporations for “failing” to prevent the spread of dengue and chikungunya in the national capital. “The issue of municipal corporations failing to fumigate across the city will be raised by the ruling party MLAs. The civic bodies have completely failed to clean the city following which there has been a spurt in the number of dengue and chikungunya cases,” they alleged.

The AAP government was being attacked by the opposition — BJP and Congress — for not discussing the issue in the Assembly. Since the Aam Aadmi Party has come to power in Delhi, Kejriwal government and the BJP-led Centre have been at loggerheads on various issues including authority over the national capital.
