Police arrest college dropout for vehicle thefts
NEW DELHI: Police arrested an engineering college dropout on Friday, for his involvement in vehicle theft cases.
Rahul Sharma (25), a resident of Sant Nagar Extension, is an engineering college dropout from a university in Punjab. Police said that he belongs to a good family, but fell into bad company and started committing vehicle theft, along with his accomplice Sagar.
“Sharma’s motive was to earn money by selling stolen motorcycles. He was caught while riding a stolen motorcycle in Hari Nagar. Upon enquiry, when he could not produce the original documents of the two-wheeler, police arrested him. Later it was learnt that the motorcycle had been reported stolen earlier,” said a senior police officer.
During the interrogation, Sharma revealed that he had been stealing motorcycles ever since he dropped out of college.
