MILAN: A stunning second-half strike by 18-year-old Manuel Locatelli gave AC Milan a 1-0 win over Juventus after the Serie A titleholders had a goal controversially disallowed on Saturday.

Juventus thought they had gone ahead in the first half from Miralem Pjanic’s free kick but the goal was ruled out for offside after a two-minute consultation between match officials.

It was Milan’s first win over Juventus for nearly four years and ended a run of nine successive defeats against the Turin side. Juventus stayed top with 21 points from nine games but Milan closed the gap to two points.

On Sunday, Mauricio Pinilla converted a late penalty to give Atalanta a 2-1 win over Inter Milan and condemn their troubled opponents to a third successive defeat.

Napoli, despite having forward Manolo Gabbiadini sent off after half an hour, ended a run of three successive defeats in all competitions with a 2-1 win at bottom club Crotone.

Nikola Kalinic scored a hattrick to lead Fiorentina to a 5-3 win at Cagliari and a last-minute penalty by Adem Ljajic gave Torino a 2-2 draw with Lazio.

Inter, who have 11 points from nine games, dropped to 14th in the table after their defeat, heaping more pressure on beleaguered coach Frank de Boer as Thursday’s Europa League win over S’hampton proved to be only temporary respite.

SEVILLA BEAT ATLETICO TO GO TOP MADRID: Steven N’Zonzi’s winner 17 minutes from time ended Atletico Madrid’s unbeaten start to the season and sent Sevilla top of La Liga with a 1-0 win at a soggy Sanchez Pizjuan on Sunday.

N’Zonzi made Sevilla’s second-half dominance count when he slotted home from on-loan Atletico striker Luciano Vietto’s through ball. The visitors ended with 10 men as Koke was shown a second yellow card 13 minutes from time.

Sevilla move a point clear of Barcelona and two ahead of Atletico. However, Real Madrid can move back to the top with victory over Athletic Bilbao later on Sunday. “It is an important win at home against such a strong side like Atletico,” N’Zonzi told BeIN Sports Spain.

BAYERN MUNICH WIN, DORTMUND STUMBLE BERLIN: Arturo Vidal and Douglas Costa struck as Bayern Munich disposed of Borussia Moenchengladbach 2-0 on Saturday to claim their first win in three Bundesliga matches and power three points clear at the top.

Ancelotti’s team have 20 points, three ahead of Hertha Berlin who edged past Cologne 2-1 with goals from Vedad Ibisevic and Niklas Stark either side of Anthony Modeste’s equaliser.

“The first half was an outstanding performance of high intensity,” Bayern coach Carlo Ancelotti said. “The second half was not as good and Gladbach caused us some problems but we still had full control and defended really well.” Borussia Dortmund slipped to sixth position, six points off the pace, after needing a late equaliser from Christian Pulisic to salvage a 3-3 draw at Ingolstadt 04.
