LG HOLDS FIRST REVIEW MEET

NEW DELHI: Lieutenant governor Anil Baijal directed Delhi government officials on Monday to come up with innovative ideas, besides focusing on timely delivery of services to residents.

Baijal, who took oath as Delhi L-G on Saturday and replaced Najeeb Jung, chaired his first meeting with the principal secretarie­s, secretarie­s, heads of the department­s of the Delhi government at Raj Niwas.

“The Lt Governor exhorted the officers to come up with innovative ideas and to ensure that there is timely delivery of services to the people of Delhi. He asked the officers to make all efforts so that the city is clean and green. The L-G also directed all the officers to attend to the grievances of citizens and address their issues promptly,” a statement from Raj Niwas said.

Officials said that the L-G also assured the top officials that the Raj Niwas would extend all cooperatio­n to the government in this regard. HTC
