Top skills in demand this year will include scripting languages – PHP, Perl, JavaScript, familiarity with technologies like big data, analytics, user interface design and clone development. Hirers could also be looking for full stack developers (those working with both backend and frontend technology), digital marketers and automotive design engineers, says Thammaiah BN, managing director, Kelly Services India.

Unisys also has plans to hire. With digitisation and other disruptive trends, there is a huge demand for professionals with deep security skills like security analytics, forensics and threat intelligence. “We are also seeing increased demand for professionals working in advanced analytics areas such as cloud infrastructure services and people with DevOps (software and other IT professionals collaborating for automating process of software delivery) – skills required for rapid development,” says Subhashini Sriram, director, HR, Unisys India.
