Akhilesh will be CM and Shivpal minister: Mulayam

SAFAI(ETAWAH): Putting all speculations to rest, party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav said on Sunday that after SP won assembly elections, Akhilesh Yadav would be the chief minister and Shivpal Yadav would join the cabinet as minister.

Shivpal, however, said Netaji’s ‘wish’ was order for him to be complied with.

“There is no dispute and no one can stop SP from winning 300 plus seats in the UP elections. Akhilesh would be the new chief minister and Shivpal would be a minister,” Mulayam said and replied in positive when asked if Shivpal would be next to Akhilesh.

“Who says I am not campaigning? I have campaigned everywhere and would do in future,” said Mulayam while applauding working of Akhilesh. He also targeted BJP in the Centre for not fulfilling the promises made.

Shivpal, however, did not respond directly to Mulayam’s statement.

His son Aditya said the attack on cavalcade of his father was an act of BJP and they would file a complaint.
