A second FIR has been registered against CEO of digital entertainment start-up The Viral Fever (TVF) Arunabh Kumar at Versova police station in Andheri west under Section 354 of the IPC.

Divisional ACP Arun Chavan confirmed the development but he as well as other police officials, including senior inspector Kiran Kale, are tight lipped about the incident.

Chavan said according to the new complaint, the incident took place in 2014 in jurisdiction of Versova police station and hence FIR is registered there.

However, Chavan refused to make any further comments on the case. The victim is said to be young and a struggler in the television industry. It is, however, not clear if she is also one of the women who spoke out on social media about sexual harassment they faced from Arunabh or someone else.

Meanwhile, a police team set out to look for Arunabh on Thursday morning after he was booked on Wednesday for molesting a woman.

The first FIR was registered on Wednesday under Indian Penal Code sections 354 (sexual harassment) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) against Arunabh.

The police said there was no information on Arunabh pleading for bail, but a senior police officer said, “It is a non bailable offence and we will oppose his bail plea. We want to arrest him.”

An MIDC police team had gone to the TVF office, but Kumar was not there.
