GRADUATION DAY
St. Froebel Sr. Sec School, Paschim Vihar, recently held its graduation day titled Odyssey for pre-primary students at Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Auditorium. DLN Shastri, director, corporate affairs from Sharda University graced the occasion. The guest of honour was Supreme Court advocate Anural Kumar Agarwal.
The event began with the lighting the lamp by the chief guest and principal Kavita Monga. Speaking on the occasion, Shastri stressed on the importance of the roles of parents and teachers in shaping children’s future. He also encouraged the students to scale new heights. Later, the principal addressed the gathering. In addition, the schoolchildren enacted different characters from the novel Jungle
Book written by Rudyard Kipling.
The performers conveyed the message of peace and harmony through their euphonic play — Love is universal — scripted by Kavita Monga based on Kipling’s novel. A one-day training camp by Hindustan Scouts and Guides was organised at DAV Public School, Kailash Hills recently. Forty students took part in the event. After the flag hoisting, students were imparted vocational skills to undertake activities relating to community development, social service and environmental conservation to foster the spirit of leadership, discipline, brotherhood and patriotism. The children enjoyed tying knots, carrying injured people on stretchers and using emergency signals. Principal Ira Khanna appreciated the efforts of the students and the teachers. She said lessons learnt by participants will not only benefit the individuals but also the society at large.
