A day after pollsters predicted rout for the Aam Aadmi Party in municipal elections, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday warned of launching a “movement” if the exit poll results, which have predicted a BJP sweep, come true.

Addressing a gathering of poll observers at his residence two days before the counting, Kejriwal said AAP workers and elected representatives are ‘connected’ with people on a daily basis and they know the ground reality.

“Agar phir bhi aise result aate hain... agar result kal jaise aate hain to hum eent se eent baja denge (If the final results are same as predicted yesterday, will launch a movement,” Kejriwal is heard saying in a video that emerged on social media.

Senior AAP leaders, including Kumar Vishwas who was said to be unhappy with the party leadership, is also seen in the video, with Ashutosh and other party legislators.

AAP has been raising the issue of EVM tampering since it failed to win in Punjab assembly elections. The party had also raised questions on EVMs without VVPAT being used in MCD polls and demanded state election commission to hold polls through paper ballot. The party had also approached Delhi HC.

Delhi labour minister Gopal Rai said that “EVMs would be the sole reason for the kind of result being predicted by pollsters . Speaking to reporters outside Kejriwal’s residence, Rai said, that if EVMs were at play then these surveys are 100% correct. AAP can be decimated further. But if the polls were fair, then AAP will number one.
