ARYAN’S FATHER SAID HE GOT A CALL FROM SCHOOL SAYING HIS SON HAS SUFFERED A HEAD INJURY

A Class 8 student at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Hindon Air Base in Ghaziabad, died reportedly after suffering a head injury while playing on Monday afternoon. However, the family of Aryan, the student, said they suspected foul play.

Aryan’s father Mukesh Kumar, who is a constable with Central Industrial Security Force, said that he got a call from school authorities saying his son has suffered a head injury after he was hit by a football. Kumar said that he was asked to reach the hospital directly, and even after he did, the school authorities hadn’t rushed the boy to the hospital yet. He also alleged that the air force officials said Aryan suffered the injury while playing cricket, contrary to the version of school authorities that he was hit by a football.

The family has approached the civil police and agreed for an autopsy to be conducted after they inspected the school premises inside the airbase. Kumar said that he had gone to work after dropping Aryan on bike at the bus stand on Monday. He got a call later from school authorities saying Aryan was injured.

“Even as I reached the Mohan Nagar hospital, My son hadn’t reached the hospital yet. I called the school authorities and said I would get him transported to the hospital. They told me to wait and said they will bring him . My son died when they brought him here. I would have got him treated at the best hospital had they brought him in time,” Kumar said, adding, “My son had no liking for sports. He might have suffered the injuries after getting beaten up by some other students or maybe due to some untoward incident.”

“The school children were playing cricket. The boy suffered head injury but the specific details are not known — whether he suffered it due to the ball, the bat or may be a fall. He was initially treated at the airbase hospital,” said an Air Force official.
