UP REJIG: 84 IAS, 54 IPS OFFICERS TRANSFERRED
In its first major reshuffle, the state government shifted 84 IAS officers, including 37 district magistrates (DMs), and 54 IPS officers on Wednesday.
Kaushal Raj Sharma, DM of Kanpur City, takes over as the new DM of Lucknow from GS Priyadarshi, who is now the DM of Muzaffarnagar. Surendra Singh, Bareilly DM, has been shifted in the same capacity to Kanpur City.
Secretary to chief minister, Mritunjay Kumar Narain, has been relieved of his charge of commissioner, excise, director, culture and secretary, Sanskriti. Dr Adarsh Singh, DM of Pratapgarh, has been appointed special secretary to the chief minister. Dheeraj Sahu, housing commissioner, gets the additional charge of excise commissioner. Principle secretary, agriculture, Rajnish Gupta has been given additional charge of director, Mandi Parishad. Arvind Kumar, principle secretary, revenue and cooperatives, has been relieved of additional charge of secretary, cooperatives. Additional chief secretary, public enterprises, Hari Raj Kishore gets charge of cooperatives. HTC
