THREE KIDNAP, ATTACK NOIDA GUARD, CHOP OFF 3 FINGERS

Unidentifi­ed men picked up a 25-year-old from Shahdara Garhi in Greater Noida and chopped off three of his fingers by forcing his hand into a fodder cutting machine.

The victim Anil Singh works as a guard in a high-rise at Sector 137. The attack took place late on Friday evening.

According to Anil’s brother, Abhay Singh, three men arrived in a car and pulled his brother into the vehicle.

“It was around 7.30pm when the attackers pulled him into the car from near a temple in the village. They took him outside the village and forced his hands into the fodder cutting machine. He lost three fingers while a fourth was cut in half,” Abhay said.

Abhay, added that some people were forcing his brother to work for them, but he had refused. “My brother is under treatment and we have also filed a police complaint at the Sujarpur police station,” Singh added.

Manish Saxena, the station house officer of Surajpur, said that a complaint was received and a case under section 326 (voluntaril­y causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons) will be registered .

“The informatio­n about the incident was received by the police post-in-charge. The officer was told that some men had come in a car and asked the victim for an address which he did not know. Angered, the men took him to the fodder cutting machine where the victim’s hand was forced in and he lost three fingers,” Saxena said.
