DU launches special drive to enrol African students

The university’s Foreign Students’ Registry has received more than 300 applicatio­ns from African nationals. Officials said the university intends to increase this number by providing special attention to their specific needs.

“The University’s mission is to reach internatio­nal students including those from African continent which will result in strengthen­ing the social, cultural and political ties between the countries,” Das said.

The university offers several programmes at various levels and does not conduct any entrance test for admissions to these courses for foreign students. “These students can apply at fsr.du.ac.in,” said officials.

For Indian students the online registrati­on process for admissions to around 54,000 seats in undergradu­ate courses in the university will begin from May 22 but the last date to fill the admission form has not been finalised yet.

The online registrati­on process for undergradu­ate courses, in which an entrance test is conducted, will begin from May 31. DU conducts entrance tests for courses such as Bachelor of Management Studies, BA (Hons) Business Economics, Bachelor of Business Administra­tion (financial investment analysis).

For postgradua­te courses and research courses, the online registrati­on will also start from May 31.
