DAY 1 Online registration for UG courses begins, students confused about cutoff, courses

“I am from CBSE and with no moderation. I might get less marks as compared to the previous batch. But students from other boards will score high and that may put CBSE students at a disadvantage,” said Ritika Verma, a DU aspirant from Ghaziabad.
On Monday, the Delhi high court had called the board’s decision “unfair and irresponsible”. The case is still pending in the court.
DU officials were non-committal on the issue, and have asked students to wait until till the first cut-off list is out.
Another popular question was about reservation and the documents to be uploaded. Manoj Khanna, convener of admission committee, told students to ensure their names in all documents match and that their parent’s name are mentioned clearly in the documents.
Most students were confused about choosing between a course and a college.“It’s better to get admission in the right course because that decides the future of a student,” said Gurpreet Singh Tuteja, deputy dean students’ welfare.
