Modi seeks direct feedback from public via ‘Jan ki Baat’
After his ‘Mann ki Baat’, it is time for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to listen to ‘Jan ki Baat’ — or voice of people. Of the many things that the Modi government has planned to celebrate its third anniversary bash, it plans to receive feedback through ‘Jan ki Baat’.
This facility will be available at the Making of Developed India Festival (MODI Fest) that the government has planned nationwide as part of the celebrations between May 26 and June 15.
“There will be a special arrangement for ‘Jan ki Baat’ at every MODI Fest so that people can send their message directly to the Prime Minister,” said Union textiles minister Smriti Irani. “The apps of Modi government schemes will be available for download at the fest,” Irani added.
Mann ki Baat is a monthly radio programme through which the Prime Minister shares his views on a particular subject.
A ‘festival of democracy’ will also be organised at 900 places across the country to celebrate the government’s three years in power. Apart from the MODI Fest, the government has also planned a Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas Conference for the beneficiaries of the government schemes.
The government claims more than 25 crore people have been brought under the banking system through Jan Dhan Yojana.
During this period, all chief ministers of the BJP-ruled states travelling to the regions where the party is not in power. BJP national president Amit Shah arrived in Hyderabad on Monday as part of a three-day visit to Telangana, aimed at strengthening the party in the state ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. “We see a chance a chance in Telangana,” a senior BJP officer said. “Corruption under the TRS government and its appeasement politics through reservation to Muslims will be our poll plank.”
