Now Kapil Mishra calls for India Against Corruption 2 Sacked minister files complaint against Sisodia
Delhi minister Kapil Mishra on Saturday claimed he would start round two of the India Against Corruption (IAC) movement and sought to begin the campaign by demanding resignation of chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and health minister Satyendar Jain.
Flanked by over a hundred workers who joined Mishra in his protest against Kejriwal and his “coterie” on Saturday, the AAP rebel mocked and slammed the CM for allegedly fooling people. He also launched a website www.akkasach.in to reveal the proof of his allegations.
“I will not rest until I send Kejriwal to Tihar. I am making all the evidence against Kejriwal public through this website,” Mishra said. He said he along with his supporters will hit the streets again to fight corruption within the AAP in Delhi.
The Aam Aadmi Party, however, refused to comment on the issue.
He along with his supporters, most of whom came from Mishra’s constituency Karawal Nagar, passed a seven-point resolution as part of his “Let’s Clean AAP” campaign. Leaders from different auto and taxi unions were also present at the event who said they were disillusioned by the Kejriwal government. Auto rickshaw drivers have been a key vote base of the AAP so much so that scores of them had donated money when the party entered politics.
“We will conduct a referendum in New Delhi seat which is Arvind Kejriwal’s constituency. We are also demanding that the party makes all its donations public and appoints a Lokpal for transparency,” he said.
Mishra said he will meet Kejriwal at his janta darbar on Monday and demand a probe into alleged irregularities in the Delhi government. Counting Kejriwal’s unfulfilled promises, Mishra said, “Just as Kejriwal had promised when he took oath as the CM, I urge him to hold an open session of the Delhi Assembly at Ramlila Maidan.”
Mishra found support in late Santosh Koli’s family too. Koli, a close aide of Kejriwal, was killed in an accident ahead of the 2013 assembly polls. Kala Devi, mother of Koli, criticised Kejriwal for doing nothing to find the culprits of the alleged murder.
Delhi minister Kapil Mishra on Saturday filed a complaint with the Delhi Police in connection with the alleged attack on him by AAP legislators inside the Delhi assembly during a special session on Wednesday. However, till late night, his complaint was not converted into an FIR.
In his complaint filed at the Civil Lines police station, Mishra accused Delhi’s deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia of allegedly instigating MLAs Madan Lal, Jarnail Singh and Amanatullah Khan for attacking him inside the assembly with the sole intention to kill him.
Through his complaint, Mishra demanded that a case of attempt to murder, abetment, criminal intimidation and common intention be registered against Sisodia and the other legislators.
A senior police officer confirmed the receiving of Mishra’s complaint but said that action will be taken only if they receive instructions or recommendations from the Delhi assembly Speaker.
“Since MLAs have parliamentary immunity, we cannot take action against them on our own. We need a go ahead instruction from the Speaker,” said the officer.
