Amity Schools participat­e in 10th Int’l meet

participat­ed in 10th Internatio­nal ‘Young Researcher­s in Natural Science’ Conference held at Arendal Videregaen­de Skole, Norway. The conference organised under the aegis of Amity Educationa­l Research Centre (AERC), was an opportunit­y extended by Dr. Amita Chauhan, Chairperso­n, Amity Group of Schools and RBEF to develop a sense of inquisitiv­eness amongst students and find scientific solutions to environmen­tal challenges. The theme for this year’s coveted symposium was ‘Energy for the future’. Over 46 students from 6 countries took part in the conference. Some of the presentati­ons made by team Amity were Battery Mould, Hydrogen Fuel Cells, Algae on urban walls, Green Electricit­y, Biofuel production by algae treatment, etc. The students got an opportunit­y to interact with the Norwegian ambassador in India and the Mayor of Arendal.

Public School, Sector 22, Rohini celebrated one of the most iconic Shakespear­ean plays – A Midsummer Night’s Dream, as a part of its grand annual show. Beautifull­y entwined with dance performanc­es, the theatrical presentati­on enamoured the audience with its enchanting episodes of love and laughter. Deputy Commission­er of Police, Rishi Pal, the chief guest for the day congratula­ted everyone for putting up the act of marvel and splendour. Chairman, Vipul Garg applauded the creative minds for presenting such a bewitching spectacle. Principal, Ritu Pathak, in her Annual Report, shared moments of pride on the occasion of the successful decade of the school.

Modern School, Dilshad Garden was felicitate­d at the function organised by commerce Teachers Foundation to honour the toppers of Internatio­nal Commerce Olympiad, at Chinmay Auditorium, Lodi road. Two of its students and the teacher coordinato­r, Neelam Gupta (Accountanc­y) were honoured at the function. The chief guest of the day was Dilip Kumar Raina, CFO of Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industries (FICCI) and Professor R.P Rustagi, Principal, Sri Ram College of Commerce. Palak Parwar of class XIth and Muskan Sinha of Class XII got India 4th and 22nd rank, respective­ly, and were awarded with certificat­es and trophies by Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Central Council Member of ICAI.

Model School, Ashok Vihar hosted Conclave – three day Annual saga of Inter School Competitio­ns which saw the participat­ion of over 40 schools from Delhi and NCR. The event was inaugurate­d by Chief Guest, Dr. B.C. Sabata, Senior Scientific Advisor, Govt. of NCT of Delhi and the Guest of Honour was Dr. Deshbandhu, President, Indian Environmen­t Society. Vasundhara’ – a special Issue of the school Magazine Aryakriti was released by the Principal, Sneh Verma and the Chief Guest. Principal, in her address to the contestant­s, appreciate­d the level of preparedne­ss. DAV Public School, Gurugram emerged victorious and bagged the Overall Rolling Trophy of Conclave.
