Amity Schools participate in 10th Int’l meet
participated in 10th International ‘Young Researchers in Natural Science’ Conference held at Arendal Videregaende Skole, Norway. The conference organised under the aegis of Amity Educational Research Centre (AERC), was an opportunity extended by Dr. Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools and RBEF to develop a sense of inquisitiveness amongst students and find scientific solutions to environmental challenges. The theme for this year’s coveted symposium was ‘Energy for the future’. Over 46 students from 6 countries took part in the conference. Some of the presentations made by team Amity were Battery Mould, Hydrogen Fuel Cells, Algae on urban walls, Green Electricity, Biofuel production by algae treatment, etc. The students got an opportunity to interact with the Norwegian ambassador in India and the Mayor of Arendal.
Public School, Sector 22, Rohini celebrated one of the most iconic Shakespearean plays – A Midsummer Night’s Dream, as a part of its grand annual show. Beautifully entwined with dance performances, the theatrical presentation enamoured the audience with its enchanting episodes of love and laughter. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Rishi Pal, the chief guest for the day congratulated everyone for putting up the act of marvel and splendour. Chairman, Vipul Garg applauded the creative minds for presenting such a bewitching spectacle. Principal, Ritu Pathak, in her Annual Report, shared moments of pride on the occasion of the successful decade of the school.
Modern School, Dilshad Garden was felicitated at the function organised by commerce Teachers Foundation to honour the toppers of International Commerce Olympiad, at Chinmay Auditorium, Lodi road. Two of its students and the teacher coordinator, Neelam Gupta (Accountancy) were honoured at the function. The chief guest of the day was Dilip Kumar Raina, CFO of Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industries (FICCI) and Professor R.P Rustagi, Principal, Sri Ram College of Commerce. Palak Parwar of class XIth and Muskan Sinha of Class XII got India 4th and 22nd rank, respectively, and were awarded with certificates and trophies by Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Central Council Member of ICAI.
Model School, Ashok Vihar hosted Conclave – three day Annual saga of Inter School Competitions which saw the participation of over 40 schools from Delhi and NCR. The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest, Dr. B.C. Sabata, Senior Scientific Advisor, Govt. of NCT of Delhi and the Guest of Honour was Dr. Deshbandhu, President, Indian Environment Society. Vasundhara’ – a special Issue of the school Magazine Aryakriti was released by the Principal, Sneh Verma and the Chief Guest. Principal, in her address to the contestants, appreciated the level of preparedness. DAV Public School, Gurugram emerged victorious and bagged the Overall Rolling Trophy of Conclave.
