Drug trafficker held with heroin worth ₹20 crore
A special cell arrested a 31-year-old Madhya Pradeshbased suspected drug dealer from the capital with five kilograms of heroin that is worth ₹20 crore in the international market, Delhi Police said on Friday.
Nand Kishore Joshi, a resident of MP’s Mandsaur, was arrested on June 19 from near Hanuman Mandir on Outer Ring Road, based on a tip-off said PS Kushwah, deputy commissioner of police (special cell).
“During the interrogation, Joshi revealed that he was a driver, who came in contact with a person in Mandsaur and was lured into drug trafficking. He subsequently learnt preparation of heroin from opium, and has been in the business for the last five years,” said the DCP.
