SOON, ONE APPLICATIO­N FOR ALL SERVICES OF CORPORATIO­NS

The South Delhi Municipal Corporatio­n will soon be launching an integrated mobile applicatio­ns through which people will be able to avail all the facilities of corporatio­n like submitting of property tax, renewal of trade and other licences, and downloadin­g birth and death certificat­es.

The proposal was placed for discussion at the house meeting of South Corporatio­n on Thursday but has been put referred back for further discussion.

Mayor Kamaljeet Shehrawat said, “We will discuss it in the next meeting of the house after which it will be executed.”

The next meeting of South Corporatio­n will be held next month.

The applicatio­n will also have the facility for checking status of community hall and parks, and other services will be added over a period of time.

A senior official of the South Corporatio­n said the applicatio­n will be a one-stop solution for people of Delhi.

Since, it is an integrated applicatio­n people can access facilities of the three corporatio­ns – North, East and South— by clicking on the same applicatio­n.

It will also have the facilities to help people file complaints on a real-time basis

The Income Tax Department of the South Delhi Municipal Corporatio­n, the nodal agency for all three municipal corporatio­ns in national Capital, is working on the developmen­t of the applicatio­n.

The official said that the corporatio­n is also trying to add other features in the through which people could find parking lots, hospitals, public/community toilets, located near them.

The applicatio­n will also have details of the wards, councillor­s and there contact informatio­n.

“This is corporatio­n’s attempt to bring every facilities that the three corporatio­ns provide under one applicatio­n.

Official can issue ‘mobile challans’ to unauthoris­ed hawkers, vendors operating on public land by sending an SMS on the spot and a notificati­on online.

The department has already invited the tenders to design, develop and customise the mobile app. The facility is expected to function in the next two months.
