ACTIVITY MONTH
Adarsh Public School, Bali Nagar, recently organised multiple events during the School Activity Month. On that day, the school wore a festive look with students wearing colorful attires of Radha and Lord Krishna. A skit depicting the childhood of Krishna was presented by the children of Class 2. Patriotic fervor filled the atmosphere when the chief guest and chairman of the school, PK Sahgal, hoisted the national flag. This was followed by cultural events by students of Classes 8 and 9. They presented a play displaying India’s freedom struggle followed by a medley of folk dances and melodious songs by the school choir. Students of the primary wing presented a tableau on the theme ‘world peace’. The descriptions of World Wars and formation of United Nations was shown through posters, poems and songs. Sahaj International School, Indirapuram, recently conducted an English recitation competition titled ‘Poetry in Voice’. Besides, that event also aimed to help students improve their retention capacities as well their formal grasp over the language. Participants recited English poems on various topics including environment, nature, Mother Earth and left the audience mesmerised. Vice principal Kiran Singla applauded the performance of the students and gave away the certificates of achievement to them. She also praised the efforts of Sahaj teachers for organising the day’s event and said that such platforms go a long way in honing the linguistic skills and boosting the confidence of young students.
