The Presidium School in Ashok Vihar filed a police complaint against one of their ex-teachers for having “behaved improperly and inappropriately” with a girl student of Class 5 during the dance period.

The teacher concerned had joined the school earlier this month. He allegedly misbehaved with a female student on Thursday, according to the police complaint signed by the head of the school.

“It is also alleged that he used inappropriate language. He is alleged to have told the child, ‘I will remove your ID card, then your shirt and then your skirt’,” reads the complaint.

The teacher had been terminated on Saturday, based on the recommendations of the disciplinary committee, and the school approached the cops on Monday.

“We have received the complaint and will take appropriate action after recording the statements of the girl,” said Milind Dumbre, DCP Northwest.

This comes only days after a student at the Ryan International School in Gurgaon was found murdered in school premises and girl was raped by a school staff in east Delhi’s Gandhinagar locality.

“We can never compromise on the safety and security of our students. Which is why you will see that the incident happened on Thursday, and once the disciplinary committee gave us its recommendations, we terminated the services of teacher on Saturday. Saturday is a holiday, but we opened offices for this and send a termination letter to his address,” said the CEO of the Presidium Schools, GS Matharoo.
