Twoday job fair at Delhi’s Thyagaraj Stadium from November 7

NEWDELHI: The Delhi government on Friday announced a two-day job fair at the Thyagaraj Stadium from November 7.

The decision to organise the fair was taken at a meeting chaired by employment minister Gopal Rai with potential employers called from across the country. Representa­tives of private companies that were present at the meeting expressed their concerns of applicants backing out after getting placed and some applying for multiple positions.

About 100 private companies are expected to participat­e in the job fair. They would be screening the jobseekers, registered on the fair’s web portal, which was launched recently, Rai said.
