CULTURAL FIESTA

-

Greenfields Public School, Dilshad Garden, recently organised a cultural fiesta. Students of Classes 3 and 4 took part in a fashion show and dramatised folk tales which had characters from India, China, South Korea, Afghanistan, Japan, and UAE. Students portrayed the tradition, culture, popular beliefs and lifestyles of the people of these countries. These global citizens wore dresses of these characters and walked the stage with elegance and confidence. The students also staged plays from these countries based on moral values. The event was part of an ISA activity. Students learnt new words, improved their vocabulary, and became familiar with the food habits, costumes and culture of different countries. Vice principal Pooja V Barsaley addressed the gathering and praised the efforts put in by the students and teachers. Two parents, Mohit Tondon and Raveesh Dutta, also spoke highly of the participants and the teachers. They expressed their gratitude to the school for instilling moral values in students through folk tales and familiarising them with the culture and traditions of China, Japan, Korea, Afghanistan and UAE through ISA activities. Founder principal Dr Manik Barsaley and principal Dr SK Sharma lauded the efforts of the students and encouraged them to tread on the righteous path. The event was an enthralling experience for students and teachers.
