An unforgettable journey to the Land of Hope

-

NEXT DAY, A group of 27 students and six teachers from Montfort School, Ashok Vihar, recently visited the United States of America. USA - the Land of Hope — is the perfect getaway destination for all kinds of people, be it thrill seekers, geeks and tourism enthusiasts. The trip could be organised primarily because of the ‘East West’ initiative taken up by Edterra Adventures.

The prime focus of the trip was on space adventures at the Nasa-powered Kennedy Space Centre. Visitors gained scientific insights on life in space and even got to see a former space shuttle Atlantis. Lunch with an astronaut was the final icing on the cake.

It was a dream come true for space and science enthusiasts.

The recreational activities included a day at Disneyworld, Orlando, a magical land of games and fun created by Walt Disney. A day was also reserved for a trip to Universal Studios, much to the delight of movie buffs and pop-culture enthusiasts.

A trip to the USA cannot be complete without a visit to the breathtaking and magnificent Niagara Falls. Then came the famous land of dreams, the city of New York.

We were humbled by the mighty appearance of the World Trade Center. We also paid homage to the peace memorials of 9/11 victims.

A trip to the Empire State Building as well as the Statue of Liberty enriched us with first hand knowledge of the history of the country. To top it off, we got to visit Times Square, the world’s most famous entertainment street.

As the popular saying goes, ‘A journey never ends, you bring back the memories and relieve them forever. MUDIT JAIN Class 10-D, Montfort School, Ashok Vihar
