2-year-old girl kidnapped from home in Pune, found murdered
PUNE: A two-and-a-half-year-old girl was found murdered hours after she was reported missing from her home near Prayeja City residential complex in Pune’s Sinhagad Road area.
The parents approached the police in the early hours of Sunday after they found the child missing from their bed.
Around dawn, the child was found murdered a few metres away from her house, according to the police.
At least eight people were questioned at the Sinhagad Road police station where Praveen Mundhe, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 2) was also present. A case of kidnapping under section 363 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered and the charges will be updated after preliminary investigation.

raped before she was killed, according to the police. The charges will be updated based on the report, police said.
The parents of the child lived with her in the room, from which she was taken between 10pm and midnight, owned by a local farmer, according to the police. They had been living in the place for the past two months.
