NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has reinstated Okhla member of legislativ­e assembly (MLA), Amanatulla­h Khan, who was suspended in May this year after his tirade against party’s founder member Kumar Vishwas.

“I got a call from senior party leader Ashutosh on Sunday night who informed me that I have been reinstated in the party,” Khan said.

Khan had sparked a controvers­y after the party’s poor performanc­e in Delhi municipal polls in April, by accusing Vishwas of being an “RSS-BJP agent” and plotting a coup in the party. On May 3, 2017, the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) meeting of the party decided to suspend Khan till f urther enquiry by a disciplina­ry committee.
